Wild SwimmingThere are many locations across Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside to enjoy a dip in a river, stream, lake or sea. Many only a short distance from Wortha Farm. Here are some of our favorites. Please remember swimming is usually forbidden in reservoirs.

Bellever Forest
Along the edge of Bellever Forest runs the East Dart River. Easy access is by the main car park.
Cadover Bridge
Near Shaugh Prior, the River Plym enters a stunning valley. A very popular spot on a sunny day.
Fingle Bridge
Fingle Bridge is a 17th-century stone arch bridge carrying an unclassified road over the River Teign near Drewsteignton. There is also a pub called Fingle Bridge Inn on the north side of the river and a picnic area, car park and public toilets south of the river.
Tavy Cleave
Not far from Peter Tavy, Tavy Cleave is an amazing spot on Dartmoor.
Double Waters
Where the River Walkham flows into the River Tavy, there is a bend in the Tavy just downriver of Double Waters. Access is from the Car Park at Grenofen.
Crazy Well Pool
A short walk from the eastern end of Burrator Reservoir, Crazy Well pool is another popular spot on a sunny day.
