All bookings are made on a first come first serve basis.
Deposit, Cancellation and Insurance
A contract is made between Wortha Farm and you once we have received your deposit within 7 days of your reservation. The deposit is equal to the first nights stay. For your security we prefer this to be paid by phone, using either PayPal or by BACS transfer for those with a British bank account only. From that time any deposit you have paid is non- refundable.
If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 21 days before your date of arrival, the deposit will be retained but can be used against a future booking taken within 12 months of the cancellation. For cancellations made after this time, or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you will be liable for the total amount. For this reason we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance, for any unforeseen cancellation, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker such as www.guestfirst.co.uk
Your accommodation is available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. We would appreciate it if you could phone or email a couple of days before your stay to give us some idea of your arrival time so that there is someone to welcome you, once here you will be given a key so you can come and go as you please.
We ask that you please vacate your room by 11.00 am unless prior arrangements have been made.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care during your stay at Wortha Farm. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. there is not usually a charge for breakages, but reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.
We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control e.g. fire, flood etc. We would attempt to find you alternative accommodation, however if this is not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund. In addition, whilst we will do our best to accommodate individual requests, we cannot always promise to reserve the preferred choice of room.
The price for the rooms include accommodation and breakfast only. The prices for self catering are for accommodation only. All extras such as BBQs, laundry are additional. Our preferred method of payment is cash. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, This does not affect bookings already made.
Dogs are only allowed in Lower Brentor View, one dog is free of charge, one additional dog is also allowed at a charge of £10 per night, No dogs except guide dogs allowed in the main house. Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture. Dogs must not be left unattended in the property. Please be aware that Wortha Farm is a working farm and sheep are always in the fields, so dogs must be kept under control at all times. If your dog/dogs are found to be sheep worrying, we reserve the right to immediately cancel your stay without refund. Please bring dog basket, cage or blankets for your dog’s.
Must be supervised at all times, their safety is your responsibility.
Wortha Farm is a non smoking establishment.
