We really enjoyed our stay, the house has beautiful surroundings. Our dogs had a great time and the location was perfect for exploring the Moors. Phil was a great host, with very good communication.

Staying at Phil’s place was wonderful. He’s a lovely host who will willingly help with anything you need and he has certainly chosen a beautiful spot to live with sheep and ponies roaming around just outside the premises and the National Park to explore at your will. I can totally recommend staying with Phil – it has been a fantastic experience! Thanks Phil!!!

Phil’s property is stunning, we thoroughly enjoyed our escape and had a relaxing break. The views are truly spectacular, and Phil is welcoming and helped us with suggestions on things to do/nice places to visit. Also met his lovely parents, daughters and grandchildren, precious ♥️

Great views of Dartmoor, quiet, rural feel yet only 10min by car from Tavistock, what’s not to like. Phil is a great host too.

Fantastic stay for our small family…well equipped and clean caravan tucked under the trees in a beautiful secluded location right by a small river. We really enjoyed the bespoke fire pit. There is a great natural swimming spot close to the caravan…didn’t get to go in this time but will be back to try it out. Highly recommended for a short stay. Thanks Phil.

We stayed for 12 days at Phils cottage with our 1.5 year old. The cottage is small and cosy, but the location is just marvelous. You’re staying on the doorstep of Dartmoor National park, which allows for plenty of walking and discovering. Furthermore, the view from the cottage and the garden is amazing. The garden is large and great for kids to play. Nearest town Tavistock is about 10 mins by car and has everything you need for shopping. Phil was a great host. Even though we only briefly saw each other every now and then, we could always ask if we needed anything. We can recommend this place for peace and quiet, especially with kids.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Phil’s property. The view up onto the hills and the Brentor church is amazing and something we will remember for a very long time. There are some great pubs close by for a meal and an ale as well as access to Dartmoor for walks. The cottage is very nicely decorated and was perfect for our little family of 3. Thank you Phil 🙂

Phil has a wonderful rural house and grounds and very nice individually decorated rooms. From the bedroom, you have a wide view over the country, just great. Phil was always accommodating and friendly. We felt very comfortable.

An absolutely beautiful location. The caravan is so well organised – we didn’t need a thing. This was our 2nd stay at wheels in the wilderness and it most certainly will not be our last. Total peace in wonderful surroundings. Phil is an amazing host and went our of his way to ensure we were happy and comfortable. A very rare find – on both counts! If you love being outdoors in the wild, but appreciate your home comforts, wheels in the wilderness is a must!

The cottage (beautifully converted barn) is located at a beautiful spot and provides a stunning view, also easy to access to Tavistock and Dartmoor National Park. Phil is a great host and I had a good experience for communications with him from the start to the end of staying. I really recommend to visit Brentor Church (St Michael de Rupe) which takes only about 20min from the cottage to the top of Tor.

Phil is a great and super friendly host. He helped us wherever he could and gave us some great culinary advices. The location is superb – extraordinary view with a top location for those who want to discover Dartmoor. The room and bathroom are newly renovated and were both very clean. We can definitely recommend wortha farm and would love to come back.
